Excellent Staff. A warm welcome. Airport Transportation to and from. Breakfast buffet available. Nice dinner menu too and a full bar with live music. The pool is fantastic. Book your Coron Island Tour/Outing at the desk. Also a hot springs and more. We loved it. Clean rooms, immaculate bedding, hot shower, etc. Highly recommend. It's not noisy either.
Spent extra for a better Resort what a mistake. Wifi in room 415 almost non existent. No water pressure first day. 2nd day water leak sprays from shower head all over vanity and my clothes. ,shower door won't close so everything gets wet, Toilet does not fill to flush.Nice!! Found this out because I got sick and had to stay in my room for the day.
Try that with a broken toilet.
Tv does not work outlet actually taped to wall for plug. Noticed they had bent the plug to get it to stay in the wall..
Remote does not work. They changed batteries still unable to change channels or volume.
Sent email to management 2nd day.
Needs some serious upkeep in rooms. Spend some money and put repeaters up.
Why does wifi only work well near the lobby??
The workers here were very nice to me that was great but I
ended up changing hotels.
I'm now in a small tiny hotel and wifi is awesome... At half the price...
Never again. Thinking about calling credit card company for charge back...
My partner and stayed in Coron Westown Resort for 2 nights. The resort looks like the pictures, the rooms are big and comfortable, the common areas are well maintained and pleasant spaces to spend some time in. They cleaned the room everyday and the staff in the front desk were really helpful. However, the wifi connection barely worked and the extractor fan in the bathroom of our room didn’t work. The menu in the restaurant was extended but didn’t have many vegetarian options. If you want to drink or eat some snacks in the pool area they charged you 10% more with no reason in my opinion, as you have to go to the bar to ask for the things you want, there are no waitresses there. In overall, it’s a nice accomodation and would recommend to stay there!
This resort was beautifully maintained, the rooms were clean with a comfy bed, great air conditioning and fantastic water pressure.
The 3 pools at the property were definitely a highlight, with attentive bar staff poolside, and fresh towels available from the attendant. The restaurant had a lot of options, but the staff did not pay a lot of attention to special requests (I asked for no mayo on my burger and it was brought out dripping with mayo). The Filipino fare at the restaurant was superb, the sisig was outstanding as was the sinigang, and the portions were huge! Breakfast was overpriced for what it was at 400 pesos per person.
Beautiful resort, however it is situated about 20 minutes outside of coron proper so you have quite the hike to get back into town and trike drivers were constantly trying to overcharge.
November 4-8
Entire staff was awesome!!!
I was comforted by their warm greetings and grateful for their accommodations.
Housekeeping tidied up and mopped the floor every mid morning.
I was able exchange smaller peso bills in the cafe for tipping and tricycle rides.
Booked an ultimate tour with the hotel’s partnered tour operator Calamian Islands Travel and Tours (top public-rated via Google Maps). 150 pesos for snorkel & mask, 150 pesos for fins, 1700 pesos for clear kayak
Caution: shower floor can be slippery
Mediocre
In theory it is a nice resort, however our room on the 4th floor does not get enough water pressure for us to be able to shower. Also the Wi-fi switches from unstable to weak and non existent, finally the AC unit makes so much noise that it will wake you up at some point for you to turn it off just to be able to sleep.
Room service was great
The restaurant too, including the breakfast buffet. We tried the Spa on the first night but we were not pleased and the next day found a much better place in Coron town and rather began going there
The Tuk Tuk rides were ok the first two days but we got really annoyed by them after that, too much shaking around, very uncomfortable. We booked for 5 days and I regretted it. This would have been good for just two days and that in a lower floor with better water pressure and hopefully better wi-fi signal.
One more thing, the front desk ladies do not look from here, they seem to have been choosen of a certain stereotype
We were requesting a room exchange and it was very hard to get, after our third day it was granted but we were asked to vacate our room before noon and come back after 2:00 pm. Ok, we actually left our stuff at the bell desk and officially vacated our unit by 8:00 am as we were going on a half day tour. We then came back at 2:00 pm and our unit was not ready, then by almost 3:00 pm they were trying to give us a unit on the 4th floor.
Right. As if we had not been there already
......
My feelings for this hotel are quite mixed. While it has an appealing facade, nice design, and aesthetics, the internet connection is a major letdown. We stayed here for four nights and even switched rooms, but we couldn’t get a decent connection. Their network is so slow that you can’t even order food, communicate with your tour arrangements, or anyone else.
We have both Globe and Smart networks with unlimited 5G, but the location doesn’t seem to support even one signal.
So, if you’re seeking a hotel that’s remote and cut off from the outside world, this might be the place for you! Good luck with that.
Not the best hotel to stay in if you want to have the best experience in Coron.
- While the staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is old and not well-maintained.
- Hotel is far from Coron Town where majority of the restaurants and stores are.
- Food is priced like other hotels but does not taste "Hotel-like".
